Our shop is a light, rustic space with lots of the original barn returned in a new form.  All of the tollet floor rafters have been made into shelves and worktop, with the original design of the crossed supports recreated on the wall shelves.  The original trusses have been sanded and the original metalwork painted black.  We have kept the original wooden windows (repaired where necessary), complete with the original shutters and replaced the hay door with a stunning window.  We have also taken some pictures of our own animals from around the farm and made them into canvases to show them to you – you’ll love our inquisitive cattle.

Also we felt it only right to bring back the names of the milking cows, that we had to cover up during the conversion, and so by the till, their names are displayed as they were the original shop girls.  Pick a favourite from Whitesocks, Dinah, Joan, Pauline or Bertha.  I think they would have liked the changes, especially the underfloor heating!
